Tucson Westside Loop

DISTANCE:  46 miles

START / FINISH:  Kennedy Park at Ajo Highway & Mission Road

ROUTE:  - West on Ajo Highway (AZ 86) 4 miles to right turn at Kinney Road;

-         Continue northwest 11 ½ miles on Kinney Road through Tucson Mountain Park to Sandario Road;

-         Turn north (right) on Sandario Road for 4 miles and turn east (right) onto Picture Rocks Road to intersection with Ina Road;

-         Turn East (right) on Ina Road to Silverbell Road

-         Turn south (right) and follow Silverbell south, dogleg left (east) on Congress Road for one block and then again right (south) onto Grande Road / Mission Road – continuing south on Mission Road to Kennedy Park

TERRAIN:  Flat to rolling hills

FEATURES:  - Kinney Road passes entrances to Old Tucson western movie set, Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and Saguaro National Park (where there is a bike pavilion with water and restrooms)

-         Markets at Sandario /Picture Rocks intersection

Picture Rocks Road continues through Saguaro cactus forest.
